Now the latest news is that Mel Karade Rabba has got earth shattering collections in India within the 1st week and has been declared the highest Punjabi grosser of all time by trade pundits.

Mel Karade Rabba has collected an unbelievable 1.80 crores in India within the 1st week with the highest screen average ever for an Indian film in Punjab. It collected over 1 crore in the weekend and collections fell just 20% on Mondays (which is a rarity today) and weekdays were rock steady with little falls. The distributor share so far is 1.20 crore approx which is again a rarity in today's time.

The film has shattered all the records for Punjabi films and has even crossed the lifetime business records of all other Punjabi films in just one week.

Such has been the impact of Mel Karade Rabba that not just Punjabi films but it has shattered Bollywood film records too! In a C grade centre like Bansal - Baghapurana, the Hindi All Time Blockbuster Ghajini grossed 58,000 in week one while Mel Karade Rabba has grossed 1.50 lakhs approx at the same cinema. Infact the first day alone was nearly 34,000 at Bansal Baghapurana. Ghajini was a huge blockbuster in Punjab.
