Music of the most awaited Punjabi Film of the year - "Ik Kudi Punjab Di" released yesterday, 12th August 2010 at Hotel Rock in Rio, Chandigarh. Starring Amrinder Gill, Jaspinder Cheema, Aman Dhaliwal and others, Ik Kudi Punjab Di is directed by the Ace Bollywood Cinematographer turned director Manmohan Singh who also has a 100% success record in Punjabi Film Industry.

Ik Kudi Punjab Di is a story about a girl who wants to be treated at par with the boys in a male-dominated society and before you have any thoughts, the director clarifies that the film is inspired by real life incident.

Young girls are scared of getting married nowadays, as they have to adjust themselves in a new set up which ends up confusing the girl about her identity making her ask questions like "which family she belongs to". The central protagonist is played by Jaspinder Cheema whom Manmohan Singh spotted during a play and He adds here that both Jaspinder Cheema & Amrinder Gill have done a lot of hard work for their respective roles and people would love their work.

Actor/Writer Rana Ranbir has not just played a role of an actor in the film but has also written the dialogues, lyrics and sang a song. The film is set in Theatre Dept (Rangmanch) which made Rana Ranbir very comfortable as he himself is the product of the same dept.

This is popular singer Amrinder Gill's second release after Munde UK De last year where he played an extended role. Amrinder Gill apart from acting in the film has sung all the songs which are composed by the Maestro Sukshinder Shinda who has given music in Manmohan Singh's last release Munde UK De aswell. Lyrics are by legendary lyricist/writer Amardeep Gill, Jitt Salala, Harjit Sidaki, Jhalman Singh Dhanda, Rana Madojhandia, Nimma Loharka & Rana Ranbir.
